National Forest Foundation: 50 Million Trees
The National Forest Foundation was looking to create an engaging piece to announce their initiative to plant 50 million trees in five years. The main goal of the video is to encourage donations to the NFF, but in a way that conveys the urgency of the issue and the passion of their supporters. We filmed with the conservation-minded actress and NFF board member Andie MacDowell, as well as dynamic board member Patricia Hayling-Price and devoted young supporters Toren Kutnick and Ginny Johnson.
Cars.com: How To Buy A Car While Social Distancing
Sometimes, a story comes to you long before the client does. For our editorial director, Brendan, the story was pulled from his own life: he, his wife Holly, and their two little ones were feeling mighty cooped up in their Brooklyn home during the Covid-19 pandemic, and they wanted a car so they could get out of the city and get some fresh air. So we produced a video that not only told people how to buy a car in this unique time, but also just how much value a car can add to a family’s life? We pitched the idea to Cars.com, revved our engines, and off we went!
Faces of Freelance
Our friends at Freelancers Union came to Narratively with one goal: show the true faces of freelance work. They wanted to illustrate the fact that the coalition of contract workers in the United States - 56 million strong - is more diverse than many people realize, and to showcase how their newly developed Freelancers Hub helps connect, inspire, and support freelancers in New York City and beyond. Everyone on our team understands the allure and struggle of freelance life, so we were stoked to help put a human face on it via this video, photo and article series.
Flaviar: The Gift for the Guy Who Has Everything
Narratively’s vast network of creatives is full of people with their own stories to tell, so sometimes we start with a great story and then find the perfect brand. In this case our producer, Jessie, was in search of the perfect present for her Scotch-loving father. We teamed up with subscription service Flaviar to create this touching, funny tale of family and connection.
Healthline: Feature Articles
Narratively engaged our diverse network of freelance writers to create an ongoing series of articles that dive deep into timely health issues with original reporting and revealing memoir. Our editorial team works with writers to assign and perfect the articles; each one is accompanied by original artwork from our team.
Eni: Water is Life
An Italian energy company focused on sustainability, Eni wanted to tell the story of one of their most important local projects: an initiative to build solar-powered water wells across northeastern Nigeria. We assembled an all-African film crew who collaborated closely with our New York-based production team to create a compelling documentary film. Months of careful pre-production and logistical planning were necessary given the delicate security situation on the ground. Once the cameras were rolling, our team had to be creative and flexible in finding the very best interview subjects.
